Today we talked all about Martin Luther King Jr. We read a non-fiction text, viewed Moby on Brainpop Jr., and we even acted out Rosa Parks city bus experience in 1955, which led to the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Students were able to make the connection to the story The Crayon Box that Talked, which we read last week. They then created their own piece of writing about what peace is and their dream for James Morris School. Also, check out the link below it gives you a virtual tour of the house Martin Luther King, Jr. grew up in . http://www.nps.gov/features/malu/feat0001/BirthHomeTour/ Brain Pop Jr. MLK Video

The class talked about how his dream came true! Some of our dreams in our Kindergarten classroom is having nice friends! Being fair to everyone! Going above and beyond!
