This week the class celebrated not only Earth day, but Earth week! On Monday, our praying mantis eggs arrived and we will be observing, as well as be learning all about how they grow, what they eat, and why they're so special! We also have been reading many fiction and non- fiction texts about ways to save the Earth. We talked about the 3 R's- reduce, reuse, and recycle!! We played a recycling game on the Smartboard, where we had to sort different materials. We had a whole group discussion about how to reuse them, too! We ended the week by creating 3-D objects using all recycled materials!

Friday, April 26th the Kindergarteners participated in Twin Day! Many of the students had either a Twin, Triplet, and there was even a group of quadruplets! Everyone had a lot of fun planning what they wanted to wear!
This month when a kindergarten student is caught being a nice friend, doing a random act of kindness, or working hard a picture will be taken and added to our class chart and blog! Today I caught two friends!
