As you may have heard On March 22nd, World Water Day, GCS will be experiencing a local author visit from Christine Ieronimo. Christine adopted her daughter from the country of Ethiopia, and is passionate about the right of all people to have access to clean drinking water. We have read her story and explored some of her real-life videos about her journey back to Ethiopia. We have been reading articles about water scarcity and the issues people have getting clean water, and it has been very eye-opening. We have been discussing the following issues: The Problem: Students will explore issues including water scarcity, the effects of dirty and unsafe water, and the lack of proper sanitation and hygiene in a community. Using multiple websites as a research tool, we'll be led to a deeper understanding of these issues. Down below is some of the research and inquiry lessons we will be conducting. Be sure to follow us on Twitter for more pictures, as well as checking in weekly on our blog!
