As you may know, this month is full of holidays including Presidents' Day, as well as George Washington and Abraham Lincoln's birthdays. In honor of these days, and to dig deeper into non-fiction texts, we will be spending some time exploring and learning about presidents and our country across the content areas! By the end of this unit we will know what the president does, why we have a president, what the American flag means to us and so much more! We have many fun and engaging lessons including making our very own Lincoln log cabins in math (discovering 2-D and 3-D), writing facts about a President, and exploring more non-fiction books about the presidents and the White House!
