We have been learning the specific strategy during word work time that will help us become a more accurate reader. We know a syllable is a word or a part of a word that consists of an uninterrupted expression of sound which includes at least one vowel. By breaking a word into smaller syllables, more manageable, identifying the vowel sounds in each syllable, and sounding out the word syllable by syllable. Students can learn to see the parts of a word, hear the individual sounds, and then read the word! Look at us in action!
